Fritz's Vet Will Do His Surgery Tomorrow

I spoke with the Vet doing Fritz's surgery tomorrow and I feel confidate they will do a great job. I mistakenly thought his leg had been broke as a puppy but they say there is no break. It appears he had a serve trauma to that leg that caused it to change the growth plate. The leg is shorter and of course severely bowed. They will attach a Fixator to that leg which will over time, lenthen the bone and straighten the bow in the bone.
Fritz will be at the U. Of MO for two weeks and every day they will tighen the screws till they have the bone staight then he will come home and wear that "Fixator " for two more months at least. They do say they expect him to walk normal after this is all over. It will be worth it for Fritz is he can. I just hope it is not too painful for him. The Vet says he will be on pain medication but that the dogs tolerate this procedure very well.
Keep all fingers and toes crossed for Fritz. Here is his picture again. I know you are probably tired of seening him by now.
